New fork for my Hillman

Postby Adiljan » Thu Jul 03, 2008 8:20 pm

Hi all,

I bought an old Hillman chro mo Steel frame (Reynolds 501) bike recently that had Alloy  forks.

I can get a 1 1/8"
Carbon blade with alloy steerer from Ribble cycles for around $90.00 but I want to check if that would fit or if it needs to be a 1" alloy steerer.

If it has a traditional quill stem at present it will be 1" steerer.
