Seat post battery

Could anyone advise of best way to secure a seatpost battery for Di2 in the seatpost.

Clear silicone, don't need too much. It'll provide some absorption qualities and also be easy to remove.
Alternatively, wrapped it in a thin layer of foam, secure some zip ties around it with a loop to pull it out when required and jam it down the seat post.

bar tape if there is room. I have a non Shimano battery wrapped in 3 layers of Bar Tape which is a perfect tight fit into the seat post.

Thats a cool idea, you could leave the end of the tape hanging in the seat tube so at least you can pull it back out without too much effort if you ever needed to.

what brand bike? Trek were nice enough to take a pineapple off my hands and give me a little bag of plastic and rubber which included a perfectly fitting seatpost mount for my bike

Seatpost is on a Colnago CX3 so isnt a round profile more like a blunt teardrop shape. The bartape idea appeals as the battery is non standard, thanks for your input.
