Just now ordered a 18 tooth cog and new carrier.
Anyone else changed to the new carrier?
Any tips?
Issues or potential problems I should be aware of?
I know my chainline will move outwards by a few millimetres and am hoping this will be sorted by moving my front chainring to an outwards position on the cranks.
I'm looking forward to my gearing being lowered by going from a 16T gear cog to an 18T one.

LOL - due to an overwhelming response, I'll be flying blind.
I've just had a text to let me know my order has arrived at home.
Hopefully it won't be long where if nothing else I'll be able to comment on how smooth the job go's.
So far I can comment that whilst the delivery day was suggested to be monday, so early, it has spent as long I assume in the DHL depot awaiting customs clearance as it did reaching Australia from Germany.
Order date was 30th May and shipped 31st May.
Arrived Sunday 4th May and delivered today 9th May.
All in all, much speedier than some orders from the EU as well as some orders from our own eastern states.
The box suffered a fair degree of punishment and the internal packaging was a little woeful but thankfully the contents were all there.
Seeing the boxes damage I had my doubts initially.

Something I only became aware of today is the availability of a "slimline" carrier which I read some posters in another forum recommending.
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/sprockets/r ... s/?geoc=AU
Its said to create a 55mm chainline as opposed to the wider 57mm chainline of the standard model (8540)
