Hi All,
It's been a while since I have posted here.. getting back into riding again and have a few questions as I haven't kept up to date with all things related to riding.
My current bike is:
Trek Madone with the following gear
Sram Red shifters (10s)
Sram Force Carbon crankset GXP
Sram Force F/D
Sram Force R/D
Shimano Cassette / Chain
I have been told recently that it's no longer advisable to run a Shimano cassette / chain with Sram shifters etc, is this true?
And one last question, whats the highest ratio I can run on a short cage R/D?
Thanks in advance
It's been a while.. a few questions

The only SRAM & Shimano bits that don't play nicely are shifters and rear derailleurs. Everything else is fine, although they do recommend that all bits should be from the same manufacturer for best results.
SRAM short derailleurs are limited to 28T. They don't have the upper body length for any bigger.

I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
