Following the closure of Cheeky Transport in Newtown (a sad event) I’d appreciate recommendations for shops doing bike maintenance, preferably on the north shore of Sydney.
After some not so good experiences, I found Adam at Cheeky to be excellent.
Who else?

I have found that the guys and gals at Omafiets are pretty good, they have a top workshop as well as all the gear you could possibly want.
Whilst they began as a used Dutch bike Importing shop, they now concentrate on the cargo, commuter and touring aspect of cycling.
They are in George Street Redfern just up from the top end of Central Park.

Other than that, you have Cheeky Velosport which originally stemmed of Cheeky Transport in Clovelly Road Randwick just up from Centennial Park.

I haven't had anything to do with Velosport but have with Omafiets so can only comment on them.
Hope this helps

I've used Jose at Cyclemax in Crows Nest, and been happy with him. I now use Cycleworld at Concord just because its close to work and they're a dealer carrying my bike brand.
