DT Swiss 3-pawl freehub replacement?

Postby biker jk » Thu Apr 19, 2018 11:53 am

The bearings in my DT Swiss 3-pawl freehub are about to die. How hard is to replace them? Is it preferable to just buy a new freehub? Any help would be most appreciated.

Bearings aren't incredibly difficult to replace. New ones can be found at any industrial bearing shop.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

One of the features that DT Swiss push is that the bearings can be replaced without specialised tools. So, should be straight forward.

Do you know where I can find a document which lists the bearing types? I believe they are 6902 but would like to be certain.

The number should be marked on the bearing seals.
