Servicing rear derailleur - lubricate plastic bushings?

Postby Narks » Sat Jun 16, 2018 3:57 pm

I' m completely stripping down and servicing my old first generation Suntour Superbe rear derailleur.

Should I be lubricating the plastic bushings on the jockey wheel plate main pivot? There is an inner and outer bushing in this pivot.

Grease/oil will attract more dirt and grime than no lube at all. Is the plastic/aluminium pivot point meant to be lubed?

Personally I would be lubricating anything that rotates or slides
