Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a second hand pair of shoes that fit nicely. However they are very difficult to get into as the boa system doesn’t open very far. I have a high arch.
Has anyone ever swapped a boa for laces or maybe lengthened the boa.
Thanks

don't know if this would help, but Salamon (at least used to) sell replacement laces for their trail shoes that the laces are like boa's but they end in a pull strap/toggle thing. You cut them to fit. Might be able to make them fit.

Boa loaces, only work with Boa laces
they are an integrated system , with proprietary parts ...
just have to get used to the fit is all

Guy wants to ditch the Boa off the shoe and just thread something through the holes and tie it, could use string or metal wire or Cinderellla's hair, would matter if there is no Boa on the shoe, just a bunch of holes.jackthelad wrote:Boa loaces, only work with Boa laces

i have seen boa repair kits e.g these on fleabay
find the distributor of your shoe brand and see if they have a repair kit? guessing its going to be very expensive
or see if you can take the boa system cap off and maybe you could replace the wire for some other longer wire

Thanks everyone,
I managed to get the boa cap off and then I undid the wire. The shoe is still a bit too tight
I am amazed at how short the boa cable was, unless it was modified by the previous owner.

previous owner could have cut the wire.
you could just go buy narrow gauge fishing line, and cut a longer piece.
It works.
