Track gearing ratio's for my age group

Anyone here have an idea what the track ratio's are for different age groups? I might start racing on the track and by that time I'd be 16. I had a shot on a track bike with the ratio for my current age group and it was far too easy.

Since gearing is also affected by wheels/tyres choice, then roll out is used to ensure a real gear ratio limit applies.

A little basic maths can help you.
Gear rollout = wheel circumference in metres * chainring / cog
e.g. a 49x16 on 2096mm tyres = 6.419 metres.

But always a good idea to check it by doing a rollout.

I'm more of a low rpm sort of guy. Lay down the power but spinning fast is where I have problems.
