Veloflex Record or Contential Supersonic
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

I've used both Veloflex Record and Contential Supersonic, actually have one of each on the bike at the moment. There's little difference between the two, so if there's a current price difference go for the cheaper.
I run a 20mm on the front and a 23mm on the rear
