Wednesdays at DGV

Postby scotto » Thu May 24, 2012 1:59 pm

sadly, long gone are the days of the cheerleaders training in the midfield - but as of yesterday, it seems wednesday nights 40km above the blue line has a new distraction.
roller derby, which from what little i could gather is like ice hockey without the ice, men, puck or sticks, but with all the other action (ie violence) conducted by youngish girls of dubious sexuality in minimalist shorts, tights and protective padding.....

Brilliant! Sitting behind your butt for 160 laps isn't that much of a draw card, but watching girls hurting each other is something else.

On a serious note, I'm glad to see DGV being used. The more it gets used, the more likely we are to keep it.
