Now if i can find a decent set of legs!

Fine tune the free play adjustment in the bearings and I would think that they would be pretty good.

Brings back my worst memory Foo. Last year I was 5th in the state IP by like 5secs from 3rd. Next day I lent my rear Pistard to my son. A Good Samaritan gave his bike a good check over and said ‘aw, the little fella can’t ride that, the rear wheels near jammed.’

Sure enough it only did half a rotation. They pulled it apart at the velodrome - guys from Wagga I think - and ...

I wondered why I died at the end of the IP.

I never put a wheel in, unless I check it for how good it spins.

Lachlan't 'new' track bike.

We got it in March 2020 and have had a couple of changes. He now has my wheels that I built in 1994 on it, and 165mm Ofmega Mistral cranks.

He's restricted to a 5.5m gear, so he's running a 49x19T combination.

Looks great - is that a carbon (no padding) saddle?

Indeed it is. $30 and about 110g. He likes it so much he has another on his road bike. At 38kg he doesn't exert much force on a saddle, so can use just about anything. Between the former saddle and the NJS steel bars we took 800g off the weight of his bike.

Cheers,

Cameron
