Ok you old farts, can you tell me what distances the 60yr olds race over, for the pursuit, points score and any other hard race on the track please.

I intend getting back to competitive racing by 60yrs of age and i want to get the State Title that escaped me in my younger days due to being hit by a truck.

My job at the moment, away all week in a truck, doesn't allow for any serious attempt to race or train but I have decided that, one way or another, I will be racing again in 4-5yrs time and look forward to inflicting pain on sprinters!

The tech regs are available here.

I'm not sure but would assume Qld state events are in line with national tech regs. A quick check of their techn regs would confirm.

Track
Category Sprint TimeTrial IndividualPursuit PointsRace Scratch TeamSprint
Category 7 (60 - 64) 3 laps 500m 2000m 10km 5km 3 laps

Category 7 (60 - 64) 20km 50km to 70km 30mins plus 3 laps

The distances in this:

would seem to confirm Alex's assumption.

Doesn't sound like the most honourable way to get a title
