QLD State Championships

Postby foo on patrol » Sun Nov 29, 2015 12:57 pm

I must say that I'm a little surprised to see the results of the Elite Sprints, had a Masters 6 rider = Gerard O'Connell in third place at the age of 54. But then again, he did ride the quickest 200mtrs in the world this year for a Masters 6 rider, of 11.28secs three weeks ago and this was outside on Chandler Track in the afternoon.

I was there and enjoyed watching Gerard ride. He is a fast and experienced rider - a good combination.

When we were talking Saturday week ago Caboolture Velodrome, he told me he still had a program from 84, with me giving him 40mtrs in the 1600mtr handicap. It will be the other way round now, till I can get some fitness and strength happening. [emoji3]
