Australian Standard Helmet StickerWell I know this should be illegal, but just in case, if I want to do a race and at that time haven't bought an Australian standard TT helmet, how about I used my normal TT helmet (bought from US) and glue a Sticker from another road bike on it? If just say, I got an accident and I show them my helmet, will it be slipped by for the insurance or not? lol
Re: Australian Standard Helmet StickerDo you really want to give an insurance company an easy out, if they found out...? Or a possible DNS from an event if the commissar knows you've pulled a dodgy move by swapping "SECURITY" stickers from another helmet?
Limar Crono have been on sale around the place for $60AU.
Re: Australian Standard Helmet Stickerits not like they are going to just trust you because there is a sticker. a TT helmet is very distinctive, if you turned up to a race I was commissaire at I would check it, just because of what it is. ditto the above comments as well. you have an accident you jeopardise not only yourself but the whole event, the organiser and the other competitors.

Re: Australian Standard Helmet StickerTry it and see what happens.

Re: Australian Standard Helmet StickerRudy Project Cytons can be had for just $149, fully legal. Check it at Bikeexchange.
I got mine through Avanti in Brisbane - friendly guys with good service. There are many types of racing cyclists. There is the sprinter, the rouleur, the stagiaire, the danser, the descender.... sadly, I'm a mediocre.

The bicycle is a curious vehicle. Its passenger is its engine.

Australian Standard Helmet StickerIs the risk worth the small amount of money you save? Not IMO, but each to their own.
Re: Australian Standard Helmet StickerYou'll also find that the stickers aren't meant to come off.
If you try to remove them they disintegrate like those price stickers used back in the eighties.....so I've heard
Re: Australian Standard Helmet StickerI have personal experience of a helmet sticker crumbling off.
Had to a take my helmet into an insurer to be retired after it was bumped in a crash with a car (her fault, therefore her insurer paid for my helmet). Thought I would see if the sticker would come off before I took it in (dunno why, just curious). You can't peel them off, they rip. New tar seal in front of my wheel
