Couple of pictures from my commute to work this morning, just to show it's not all skittles and roses out here in Leeton.
Coming our our drive way, thankfully only 400meters of dirt.
Riding down Fivebough Rd. Not to thick this morning, but this is a 100kph zone and a bit difficult if the fogs any thicker and a car comes the other way. No where to go.

It's been a bit slow on this tread so I thought I'd throw in a couple of more pictures from an Alternative Extended commute. I usually ride this road when the wind blowing Easterly or North Easterly. So I get the wind behind me coming back.
Outward ride, just before I turn around.
Just turned around and on my way back.
All down hill from here.

Great weather this week. Nice temps in the morning. Still dark enough to keep some peds in bed. Getting used to my 'Bent', slowly. Uphills still hurt. Afternoons are great. Nice light and shadows. Some pics from this week.
Flagstaff Point yesterday morning.
Shadows after work.
Towradgie Beach
Towradgie looking south
Fun with mirrors. A bit more practice needed.
Shadows before work showing my bent bent.
The view from the drivers seat. Again, more practice needed.
Regards
Neil

I've got to say, I absolutely hate riding across that bridge
. You've got an awesome commute apart from that, I'm actually quite jealous

Here's a few pics of my commute North of Perth tonight. A far more scenic journey than the Mitchell Freeway PSP!
The sun starting to set over City Beach....
A view of the Beast just heading out of Scarborough....
Take your pick! Path or road!
The PSP at Burns Beach. It's quiet enough to ride at this time of the night (6.30pm). It cuts off a fair section of Marmion Avenue. (About 7km from home!)
One more of the Beast!
Cheers,
Gary

Man - you guys are lucky with a commute like that. Mine is absolutely crap compared to most of these in this thread - I see nothing but gutters all the way to work and home.
I should move to Perth.

I've been wanting to add some pics of my commutes for ages. The trails are fun and add a bit of variety to getting to work, although the MTB is harder work to pedal.
Now the mornings are lighter, I'm trying to get in some longer rides on The Roady- with a couple of hills ifI can get up early enough! Today was my first attempt albeit a half-hearted one, but it's a start.

Not normal for this time of year and although the first picture is not part of my commute I thought it look good anyway.
Taken from my backyard just before I headed off to work.
Most of the green you can see is the dreaded 3 corner jacks. Just can't get rid of them.
About 15k's out of Leeton just after I turned back towards town. First time since moving to Leeton nearly 9 years ago I've seen fog before mid May.

I thought I would share some of my commuting pictures while I was living in one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the privilege of living in....... Gippsland Victoria
Small beach side town where I was living in. About 100 people living in the area.
Road that takes me out to the Bass Highway. Its about 9km and completely flat. PB for this section is 12min45s.
Descent road shoulder makes bike commuting quite safe in 100km traffic.
I can see my final destination in this picture. Bass coast has some rough waters and strong wind. You can see the wind direction from the grass. Strongest winds experienced on the bike was 135 km/h. Typically 45 km/h and nothing less than 25 km/h.
Nice views to reward you after a few climbs
Commuting in winter means riding in the dark. No street lamps so you will need a long lasting batteries. Try changing batteries in pitch black. This is a typical morning commute to work
Finally arrive at work. Picture taken from work site. I need to get through 5km of unsealed road to get to site.
Mist in the morning can be dangerous as well. Visibility can be very bad
Nice cloud formation
Old faithful taking a break.
Miss living there........ but there are also good places in Sydney near home......pictures to come later.

Good idea. Updated my post above with camera/lens specs.
