Now I wish I was working away from home, just so I don't feel so at home and I could fit in here ... :(

Ah well, I'll sneak on over to the recumbent forum and stir the pot. :)

Cheers,
Graeme

I can see this place being busy, lotsa peoples doing it these days.

Points to Kev for suggesting it.

Now normally I can easily take the kudos for other's ideas. In fact, it reflects my entire career to this point. However, I must point out that the idea of a commuting section originally belonged to our old mate Booger.

Well done Simon.

Working from home just means every ride is a commute ;)

Oh yeah! Hadn't thought of that! You have a slippery way with words - not a lawyer, are you? ;)

I've just started working in Sydney CBD. Catching the bus home on Clarence Street is a sight to behold. There's the lycra crew, there's the fat boys (count me in), there's girls styling out on the retro's, there's riders without lights, there's a guy with his young kids sitting in a trailer. There's even a bloke with a basket hanging off the front of his handlebars.

Talk about Woo Hoo. It's a dead-set commuting festival on Clarence Street in the evenings.

And there's even the dedicated out west. Dropped by the Parramatta CBD on a fairly wet Wednesday around 17:30, and was delighted by the number of bicycle commuters - mostly decked out in hi-vis gear and good night lighting. Probably saw one cyclist per 200 m of road.

What was really impressive about this is that the Parramatta CBD is so poorly served by cycle paths - from most directions you've got to mix with traffic for the last few k's.

We are not alone.... (doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo) :)

Cheers

Yeah, Clarence Street is just the ones heading north. There must be 1000's out there... in the twilight zone.
Its great to see

There's a steady stream heading east up Martin Place as well, and west out through Pymont Bridge of an evening.
