Didnt notice any misbehaving there :)
Surprisingly they seemed to be talking to pedestrians as well as cyclists.
Checking IDs and bells?
Jeez louise, for a bloke with a brain the size of a planet you can be a bit slow some times. I said surprisingly not unbelievably.

BTW I have found a supplier of vegan pies, but you will have to climb to Wentworth Falls to try them. I can however recommend the ride home

It's definitely autumn now - first en-route cuppa for the year this week.

Me again! Battling to get out of an extended commuting slump, but made it in today. Nice weather. Launched a CCR attack only for my quarry to signal right just at that moment, ooops  A tradie with P-plates waited patiently behind me at a roundabout

FInally over a cold so back on the bike this morning, 10 degrees but not too dark yet. I actually enjoy riding when it's still dark in the mornings.

Two call outs for the commute home today.

Going through Pyrmont outside Channel 10 a group of 4 decide to cross the road while me and another cyclist are cruising along. No biggie wasn't that close apart from a smart comment being called out by one of the group and me responding appropriately :)

Next was a bit more off a close call and I locked up the rear for this. Barrelling westbound down the Anzac Bridge just past the statue, a kid was oblivious and looking up at the trees and crossed onto my side. Managed to avoid a collision with a yell and lock up. Kid was young and apologetic, no impact occurred so happy days.

Not a good day on the bike today. Took 15 mins extra to get in due to the headwind (and me getting 500m up the road before realising I had no helmet on). I had a rabbit run into my front wheel, then I ran over it with my back wheel. It hopped off seemingly unscathed.
By the time I headed home the wind had shifted to a cross wind and it was quite wet. I took the "shortcut" that bypasses the gate (why have a gate at one end of a bike path, but no-where else!?) but means that there is a small lip of wooden edging to get back on the path. Of course this was nice and slippery and I was going over it at an angle; result was me coming off for the first time in about 3 years (MTB not included).
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.

Definitely. If I leave a little later the last 5km might be dark.

Fantastic ride in this morning - perfect conditions. New handlebars work a treat. Only problem is I left my keys home so had to wait 20mins for someone to arrive.

Had my first ever flat tyre in my entire life yesterday, noticed it before I left work so I must have picked it up just as I finished my ride.
If I can go another ~30 years before my next flat, I'll be a happy man :D

Never had a flat yet, most of my riding is on roads and cycle ways, currently using two flat bar road bikes with 25mm 700c and 35mm 700c tyres, every time I go over a bit of glass/gravel or sharp twigg etc I wonder if I'll ever get a flat but don't. I do use tyres with decent puncture protection and try to avoid anything likely to cause a puncture where possible.

I used my car the other day.
I only did so as I had to take my daughter home after karate.
It was a cruddy way to start the day.
Instead of getting to work invigorated I got to work mildly annoyed.

Now you know why road rage happens, imagine doing it every day!

Cool again this morning, considering upgrading the kit to suit the climate better, but the afternoons aren't cool enough yet to worry about it.

Wish I had some more CCR action. Spotted a guy in front this morning, but soon caught him - he was on a vintage style step through at cruising pace despite looking like he was commuting.

Wet ride in for night shift tonight. A steady light rain all day.
It wasn't cold so was still way better than driving.

And the same this morning. On the plus side the rain has removed the smoke & soot from the air

Set out in a fresh 6 degrees, quite the conundrum picking an outfit - although it felt at the beginning like I'd overdone it, ended up OK.

Got to the Karrinyup Rd lights, reached down for my travel mug and AUUUUGH it's on the goshdarn kitchen dingdang bench :( :( Overpowering smell of pies warming up around the RAC building, uurk (/mmmmm!)

Taillight crapped out at some point. Can someone please invent one with an audible low-battery alert, I don't have time, kthx.

Happy Monday everyone

The Fly6 beeps when it's getting low on battery (where it's operating in light only mode)

Here too. Really good rain overnight.
Heavy rain early on but only light for the trip home.
Still soggy knicks from last night were a bit clammy until they warmed up.

Anyone who even suggests the current NBN being deployed is the best solution and the one we should have is thick. So no.
