Coming along the bike path, through a park with a nice tailwind. Around the bend....and there's old mate the council bobcat fella pulling wire fence out and across the path. No signs, crap all over the path. Wondered why I had something to say and got all surly when i started taking pics

And today it was the grass cutter's turn. Although it was entertaining.....dude had a tracked remote control jobbie with an out front slasher. Never seen that before, it was cool. Just a little box with a joystick and buttons.

I'm easily entertained

Good uneventful ride in and out. Legs feeling it today after a commuting detour of 40km's last night with 1200m of ascent. (2 laps of cootha back and 1 front).

Weather gods are on my side lately.... rained whilst I was at work on Monday... clear both commutes and rained Monday night and has been clear all week.... temps are perfect, 8-9c in the morning and 17c and dropping going home.... must also have the wind helping as I have avg over 30km/hr coming home the last 2 days...been climbing going to work.... not as hard as Cootha but short and sharp....and cattle grids at the start take all your speed away

Will do, today was attack free!

I've only ever had 2 attacks so far in my life (out near Brighton), they don't really happen in the UK on the same scale as out here!

After a few weeks of removing my arm-warmers part way in, it was time to expose my pasty white arms to the world

I checked my odometer this morning. I find that sometime yesterday on the way home I passed 48,000km on the unicycle since I started metering my distances.

Whoo whoo! Maybe it'll give me the spark to complete another 2,000 before the new year.

The rain gods are still on my side.... has been raining on and off yet I seem to pick the gaps...although wet shoes from the spray off the road but this morning winter came back.... temp dropping to 5c and I had to put a light jacket on.... which didnt help the frozen fingers.
yesterdays ride in was interesting when I had another moment of lazyness and went back to bed instead of heading out early for a shop ride.... and then commuter cup challenging I broke a couple of spokes on my 5 or so week old back wheel.... good thing with disc brakes I taped the spoke to another spoke and cruised to work and home.

Got attacked near Witton road this morning, he only came in for one attack but it was a heavy one! Thought I'd hit a branch or something then I realised what it was!

He's going to be a busy bird along the cycle way!

There'll be plenty of hot soon. It would be nice if the wind was in the right direction. On the nose on the way in, but it'd be too much to expect that it'd stay in the same direction for the way home. At least I had a broad reach for half the way.

Cheers,

Cameron

Awesome ride in from Sylvania to Zetland this morning - not a breath of wind, the Bay was glassed out, every light up Coward St, Maloney St and Rothschild was green and the new bibs I bought yesterday felt super comfy for the duration of the trip.

So now that I've just put the mocha on it, my trip home will be wet (predicted already), windy (predicted already), red lights at every intersection, new bibs will either rip or provide me with some serious chaffing and just for good measure probably even a puncture or two!

Perth:

Whew. I had forgotten how hard the climb was from the narrows to Hay Street along the side of the Freeway. The legs were a bit shaky by the time I got to the Hay St overpass.

But what glorious sunny and still weather it was in Perth this morning. Another five degrees and it would have been perfect.

First time back on the bike this morning after a couple of weeks in the U.S. for work, which involved far too much eating and drinking and very little meaningful exercise. The 7km long, 400m ascent did not feel fast...
