Yeah, today was somewhat more rugged than we normally get. Got home soaked, a bit cold, but that's life.TheWall wrote:In Melbourne for a holiday...Coming from the Sunshine Coast I gotta say I now really admire Melbourne commuter folk. Walked back from dinner on Lygon St to our hotel in city. Very Cold. Very Wet. Very Windy.
Respect.

Possible, although in Melbourne we have to place a sign both sides of the road. I thought it was that.bychosis wrote:That looks like someone has turned the sign the wrong way too.

Decided to slum it with the miserable buggers on the train this morning to give myself some rest before doing all 4 of Kinglike's ascents tomorrow morning. It may be a bit chilly up there...

::pauses for riotous applause::
30.4km according to Endomondo, not quite the great leap up from 27ish that it seemed like. Tough going though after a bad night's sleep (turns out major financial decisions and moving house are stressful, who knew ...). Considering how slow I am I'm not sure how often I'll be able to do it and maintain quality of life, but it feels like there's a lot I could be doing with those extra 10 minutes at either end

it was a bit more than a slight tail wind. and my commute was below 6 degreesadam0bmx0 wrote:It was cold this morning, maybe that was the reason for my nearly 32km/h average speed to work, or a slight tail wind........

Big shout out to ninja commuter who decided to stop under the Racecourse Rd underpass on the CCT to text his mate. In the dark, with no lights, at peak hour

you see some bone-headed stupidity on shared paths. some people see them as general meeting or recreational areasfat and old wrote:Just back from the CBD. Rather wet.
