How was your commute ... today, yesterday, last week ...

First time without long leggings etc. since forever (or at least a few months) for the ride in this morning.
Odd. I had dangling bright red things instead. (I guess white in front red behind is best for road worthiness ;-) )

My bike rack and MTB shorts arrived Friday so today was my first ride fully kitted out with trunk bag instead of a backpack, and in the rain to boot. Was quite pleasant except I forgot to check tire pressure and was riding on under-inflated tires.

Sure was warm today, but, no shock looking at my legs since I ride in shorts all year around. No jacket though, I normally wear a jacket with the sleeves removed unless it is really cold.

Nice ride in with a tail wind yesterday morning after spin session pain. Actually managed to behave myself except for this one train that was just begging to be raced

The afternoon ride home was a bit annoying. The wind hadn't shifted around like I'd asked, it was 30-odd degrees and I realised that downside of having black shoes, black bike and a black water bottle.

Fantastic commute yesterday morning with a boulie pr and feeling pretty fresh at the end. Evening commute was average. Night commute 22:00-23:15 was crawling. Ah well, new day today :-)

Not commuting today but I am currently sitting at a bus stop in Herston (Brisbane) watching many commuter cup challenges unfold. Quite entertaining really! [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

As I was pushing into the headwind this morning, and dreading the early afternoon wind shift, I was thinking how you would be enjoying the prospect of a double tailwind today. Hope you enjoy it! At least I had a tailwind last night...

Already warm, going to be a scorcher riding home. Nice to see the police cracking down on dangerous pedestrians, they are a serious threat to steel cages

Haha. I don't normally get any sunshine on my legs on weekends on account of riding the breathing variety of steed where full pants are required. I am a bit lobster red around the back of the neck though (even with the application of sunscreen) so maybe that makes me road compliant? :P

My Garmin had a hissy fit last night and this morning so no log of my rides. I feel like I wasted the rides to and from work. What was the point of riding if it wasn't recorded??? :P (Just kidding)

The Garmin fixed up this morning once plugged into the computer. I deleted almost a year of old rides so hopefully that is what was causing the issues. :)

Have been trialling some knee pads for old dodgy knees so commuted to the university for final test... Continued on the river loop for the trip home and noticed a lot of movement in my pedals... Pulled over and the spider has come away from cranks

Had to cycle the final 25 odd km into the head wind only using my left leg... It's still sore... Bike in the shop for a warranty claim

Pretty serious, gusty headwind on the way home tonight. That didn't stop this guy from doing push-ups in the middle of the lane straight after a blind corner though. I didn't have time to ring my bell or anything so I just went around him without warning. If he got a fright that's his fault for doing push-ups on a shared path...

Yep very windy indeed. Hoping the direction stays as is for this arvo's return commute.

Also hoping wind stays high and from the south- wasn't too much fun heading south this morning!

Yep those horizontal hills are a killer. For the Sydney optimists, the winds have already dropped & will be a mild sou easter going home.

OK I need to follow this thread more often.

WTFx1 that Ultegra crank!
And WTFx2 with that idiot doing push-ups. I suspect chemicals were at play.

Good to see that daylight saving time has brought out some more commuters -- plenty going up King Street today. They should buy lights and do it all year round :-)
