Hahaha... Good luck Jason...
You just need one or two days a fortnight of longer rides... maybe ;-)

Someone at work just pointed this out to me, Endomondo Pro app is $0.10 (yes, 10 cents) for a limited time. I think just today, but not sure what timezone it is using:

Well Ladies and Gents, with The Better Half booked in tonight to have our baby induced that's my commuting finished for the year.

It's been a blast getting back into a job where I could ride to work but with an expanding family and appetities to match I must move up in the world and unfortunately that means sacrificing my commuting......

So with three weeks to go until the end, there's only 200km left to claim 8th spot.

Who wants it??? :P

I am out - it is a bit unfair given the distance of my commute, and that I am a 5 day a week commuter.

Just going to track my K's in Bike Journal. But it has been fun - Never realised how many k's I do until I actually started logging my rides.

Hope so - It has been motivating and fun. I am clinging onto the front page and hope to stay there.

schurms - not unfair at all (i too am a five day a week with less kms) - you do the k's you should take the glory (or whatever it is) :D
Not fast, no style, but still get there.

I am pulling the pin on Endomondo at year end, but of course anyone can set up a challenge if they wish. Why not do it yourself if there is interest? Easy as.

Will join in - but have no idea how it works (have not read more than ten posts in this thread)...
Moving house this week.. will mean a better commute than the measely 3kms each way I'm doing now.

OK - got it - someone will start a 'challenge'.
I will log transport oriented rides as 'Cycling Transport' using the 'workout type'... and the numbers build up!

If we get enough people keen on re-running the challenge I'll set it up and we can from there.

Hmmm, my normal commute is a 10.4 km round trip.

I must say that having commute km as less than 20% of my total keeps life relatively interesting. I would hate to have to use commuting km to build a total, rather boring way to do it I'd say. Mind you, that's not to say I don't use a bike instead of a car for every possible reason. :D :D

I wouldn't say it was that bad, two thirds of my total is made up of commuting to and from work. I don't live in suburbia though, river scenery is much nicer to ride through.

I know some people who think the same but the other kms they do is the same river loop every Wednesday and the same Bay loop every Saturday... Hardly interesting for them... Social riding is the difference. Commuting usually has no social aspect to it and for many this is the reason why commuting becomes less interesting.
Out of this boredom, Commuter Cup Racing is born :-)
