I love riding in the cold weather, so expect me to be moving up the rankings over winter and not slipping back down.

Even though tomorrow is a day off the bike so I have some energy for 110kms on Saturday. Sadly not 110 commuting kms

I like the heat - but riding anytime is enjoyable - it is the only thing that is just for me.

Won't be alot - maybe 10kms more than normal. I ride to Biblestudy (still commuting) even though there is a car available. It is more enjoyable because I am riding by choice. Love riding most the time but more when I choose to.

It may have something to do with car available is an 8 seater van - I don't like driving.

Maybe 15th but not by much - nearly got stopped this morning as some fool chopped a tree down across the shared pathway in Western Sydney parklands. In the fog this morning I only just stopped - I usually am doing about 35km/h there. It would have put me over the handle bars.

Glad I saw it and stopped - It made me late for work as I pulled it off the path but was a good workout. It also confirmed that even thought I made ride slowly my brakes (and braking skills) are still up to speed.

Am glad to still be on the bike.

It appears we have a similar commute mate, me 46k daily, you 48k daily, should make for a good chase (as long as I throw a few more K's in there some where)

Well I have changed clients in the last couple of weeks - but as luck would have it they are on the opposite side of the brisbane river - so approximately the same distance. Took me a few days to organise showers and bike storage so, back to the 5 day commute again. Loving the brisk morning air in Brisbane.

Checked my ranking the other day and you beauty - I'm up to 7th!!!! Rechecked today and not only am I now well clear of Nick Cowie in 8th but rapidly gaining on Oxford in 6th. On closer inspection though it appears Nick Cowie hasn't entered a ride in a week and Ox hasn't put one in for 2weeks. So not sure if I'm really in 7th or not ....

Only commuting once this week has dropped me down to 18th. By only 200 metres.

Things are heating up - I'm clinging on to the front page - I hope thats where I stay.

Mrs Westab saw my stats and now she wants to borrow one of my "hambergers burned" for dinner.

It sounds like a good idea. Yum - with bacon and beetroot.

I should offer my wife a few of my hamburgers. She's pregnant and the only thing she knows she can definitely eat is a Hungry Jack's Cheeseburger. We've got half a dozen of them in the fridge to be reheated as we're a 40 minute round trip from the closest "restaurant"

A bad week again for this week. Only 2 days at work and 1 ride of only 26kms. I need next week to be a big improvement or I will soon be on the third page.

Don't worry - I too am having a bad week. Monday no commute (still loved the long weekend) and yesterday I had to go home from work (middle kid sick and mrs Westab had to be at work) so no extra km to help with the loss of Monday. Then last night no.1 kid started the projectile vomit so tonight it will be home fast so mrs Westab can take no.3 to his swimming lessons.

All this when I am about to get dropped from the first page - such is life.

Looks like I've managed to capture 12th spot after chasing it for at least a month or two.

I could do without the lower temperatures on the commute inbound at the moment, but its nowhere near as bad as other places.
