It's cancelled for Darwin now that I'm at work, but still wet and windy.

Ah, it snot that big of a deal really. A front had finished passing through when we drove to work so it was quite still, cool and only slightly raining - great conditions really. But We didn't know what it would be like by the end of the day. It'll probably just be wet and a bit windy. There are road closures around, but not any that I need to worry about. One of them will stop people being able to drive home to some suburbs, but those on their bikes can ride the shared path through the coastal reserve to get home, bypassing the flooded road (this is the usual route to these suburbs from my work). Win for cyclone cyclists!Max wrote: I think WestcoastPete wins this thread!

Still no ride again for me Mrs Westab still sore (they will probably set her arm next week when the swelling goes down) and no one to drop off / pick up from school.
Plenty in the legs and no time to make the most of it. Still there are some more things important than riding.

With any luck I'll be back on the bike for a nice gentle ride next weekend.

Looked down and noticed the round black thing on the front is broken...only on the bottom...but thats it, gotta buy a new bike...the current one is wrecked.
Jasonc: I'd be fine with that if you were in Sydney

Oh I understand nowdynamictiger wrote: Not the wheel...the black squishy thing on the wheel
Well if your round black thing is ruined I have a new bike you can buy, it was made by Aldi so it's fantastic. I'll give it to you for whatever your current bike cost plus a small fee to haul it away for you...
