On behalf of all Perth excusers who are silent here, it's a week of humidity, lightning, thunder and a dash more humidity. Returning Thursday when the weather is back to the dry old summer we know and love.

That's me! Yesterday arvo I caught the train and bus home because of lightning. Then I had to walk three blocks from the bus to home in the lightning. It was way to close for comfort. I should have ridden.

Blew up my back tube at the bottom of the street, walked home to change it (which I'm still not good at). Tortured my poor BF by insisting he limit his input to watching me struggle, got into a fluster, omitted the "partially inflate before putting the tyre back on" bit, blew it up again. Racklefrazzle.

I've ridden all week and can honestly say that this morning is the wettest I've been, purely from the 90% humidity. The wet days were refreshing compared to today

Mate you should take a break - for all of next week; while I am at the sales conference for work. No room for a bike and no opportunity to ride even if I could.
Not fast, no style, but still get there.

I'm saving my days off the bike for the cold rainy days of winter, going to continue cramming in the commutes while I can do them in the warm and daylight

The smoke from the bushfires in Northcliffe, 175 kilometres away, is so thick I can hardly see the house from my workshop/flat. There is no way I am going to ride in this stinky soup.

"HUNDREDS of firefighters continue to battle two out-of-control bushfires that have destroyed property and continue to threaten lives in WA’s south — and could “burn till the end of summer’’. "

Till the end of summer? Nooooo!

I'm launching a pre emptive strike for today and possibly most of this week.

I've got some discomfort in a calf muscle and I'm targeting one of those obstacle course mud run things last weekend in March and a 10k run two weeks after that, so I'm looking after my body and not doing lake laps today. Probably not riding to work tomorrow either.

Stay safe Overspeed.

Physio has denied me any exercise until at least next Friday :(.

Long term goals for the end of March and mid April have me listening to her though.

Didn't sleep a wink last night, so no cycling this morning. Probably would have fallen off D:

Rolled my ankle last night on the Sydney Harbour Bridge steps. I may have pulled some ligaments off the bone - there's what looks like a small bone fragment floating in the area where they typically attach.

Minimum of 4 weeks off, maybe six.

Nasty trailgumby. I presume the doctors refused your request to attach a cleat to the plaster, moonboot or whatever instrument of torture they fitted

Wasp nest in the walls of the house, by the time the dog came back from the vet and suitable agents for eradication were bought and the tiny hole in the flyscreen that let them inside had been dealt with, I'd run outta time :(

My lame excuse is that I am working out twice a week and running twice a week and my poor legs aren't keeping up with that and riding 5 days a week. I am cutting out my wednesday commute to try to rest my legs :(
