The "Excuses" Thread

The heat is killing me. No riding of any kind the last few days :(

My excuse is that Ive already done 5 commute this week and that I had to start earlier today than usual but didn't get up any earlier. Feel a bit slack to be honest. Especially after my bad(ish) results yesterday at the company health fair (poor resting heart rate, bmi in the obese category and 112 cm waist)

If you keep commuting 5 times a week you won't have to worry about the company health fair next year. You will be a star performer :D

And now it's not raining. Wish I'd just ridden through the light rain now.

I braved the light rain this morning and now it's looking like being an OK afternoon to ride home in and a good day for riding tomorrow.

It's been pissing down rain all day today. But that's not why I didn't ride today. I didn't ride because I'm lazy.

I'm just glad there's a company supplied bottle of sunscreen at work, mine was empty after the weekend 57kms on the MTB. Todays sun in Melbs coulda been put on sharks for Dr Evil.

Not going to commute tomorrow or the next day, I'm telling myself it's because rain is predicted and I'm having a rest after riding today and yesterday (still supposed to be recovering from a bad knee). Definitely be back on for Friday commute though.

I didn't ride today - Wife is picking me up this arvo to go to her OB appt :) so I got her to drop me off this morning and took the opportunity to bring a heap of gear into the office.

No riding tomorrow either as I'm working from the City :(

Back into it Friday though :D

I was going to ride this morning but caught a “Severe Weather Warning for SEQ” on the telly. So I drove and no storm, no rain, no riding :(

The stop button doesn't work the same as the snooze button on my alarm. extra 45min sleep but too late to ride.

I didn’t ride today because I genuinely feared I’d bare the brunt from a Warnie inspired bogan.

Seriously - Warnie should be charged but Victorian Police clearly give sportsman preferential treatment. That’s messed up

Was crook Sunday night and my sleep was atrocious. Didn’t have the energy to ride so I drove. Felt bad about it all day until it was home time and the heavens opened up.

It's pissing down. My missus has told me I'd be crazy to ride. Who am I to argue?

It was raining heavy this morning and I didn't have to be told...SWMBO was stalking the lounge room waiting for the opportunity to tell me what I fool I would be if rode in the rain. So I went back to bed.

Bike got serviced last week, didn't want to undo that by riding through the downpour. I have decided that if I'll soak through within 5 minutes, it's raining too hard. The concern is definitely more protecting the bike than me though.
