How many trips have you made by public transport this year? I've just counted mine up and it's 14 so far this year. That's two trips to work by PT a month - the rest by bike. I can live with that.

Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8So I hope everyone is going to ride to work on census day!
How many trips have you made by public transport this year? I've just counted mine up and it's 14 so far this year. That's two trips to work by PT a month - the rest by bike. I can live with that. Once you can climb hills on a bike it's all downhill.
Hopefully I'll know what that's like..... one day. ![]()

Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8I will be riding to work tomorrow. 0 trips on public transport, it goes no where near my work. So its bike or car for me.

Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8I cycle to work almost every day. Whether I do so tomorrow or not (due weather, sickness etc), I'll still be saying I did on the census form, on the basis that this is what I normally do.

Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8I work from home most days, and will tomorrow. Tomorrow, I'll go for a ride, then come home to start work. Then I can honestly say I rode to work.

This.
Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8
Sounds similar to me, probably a few more trips by PT, maybe 15, 1 by car (my usual yearly quota) and the rest by bike. It will take a lot to get me off the bike tomorrow, I want to make sure I can say I rode to work. DS Riding: Cannondale Quick Speed 2
Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8I'm not working Tuesday but I will lie.
That's what a fool does. I'm invincible, I'm paying money ... uh ... The girl's happy, she's got no money, I got my rocks off. How good is this?
Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8
yes I think if we average out the trips we take by bike then use rounding, it is safe to assume that many of us rode our bike today despite what we might actually do. Life is not about waiting for the rain to pass.....it's about learning to dance (or ride) in the rain.

Re: Ride to work on census day Tue 9/8I am appalled at all the reprobates lying to the guvment. Fortunately I rode to work today so I don't have to.
I was going to buy a fast, stylish bike, but I looked in the mirror & thought "you're not fooling anyone, you know"
