normally leave between 7-7:30 for a 8-8:30am start. I like to have a quick shower after the ride to freshen up for work.

Similar. Usually don't need much more than a rear blinky during the ride in, but for the trip home more can be required. Melbourne during winter can be dark by 5.30pm.mike95 wrote:normally leave between 7-7:30 for a 8-8:30am start. I like to have a quick shower after the ride to freshen up for work.

Get up at 3:50am and out the door by 4:25 for a 5am start. It's making me wince just typing it.

I know what you mean . Even though my workplace allows me to do more traditional 9-5ish hours if I want, the lack of traffic makes the earlier start worth it for me.pentlandexile wrote:Get up at 3:50am and out the door by 4:25 for a 5am start. It's making me wince just typing it.

Give or take 30mins:
4.45am - wake up
5am - leave house
6am - arrive at girlfriend's place, exactly 35.5km away door to door, shower and get changed into casual. Jump on train asap.
7am - arrive at work after a 35min train ride. Get changed into corporate.
12pm (only in summer) - get changed and go for a run at lunch, shower, eat lunch.
4.30pm - get changed back into casual, go to girlfriend's to change into lycra
5pm - ride home
6pm - do some weights for about 30 mins
I do the above 3 or 4 times a week. I may sound fit and healthy, but i love junk food and don't believe it eating in moderation and still carry a pot belly
