What is the best booty you have found on your commute
Postby simmo71 » Sat Apr 07, 2012 10:21 am
Just wondering what are the best booty items that you have found or lost on the road during your commute?
Over the years I have collected a lot of useful stuff from the bike lanes on my commute. I consider the booty as a reward or compensation for having to put up with all the broken glass and debris in the bike lanes on a daily basis.
-Screwdrivers and pliers a plenty.
-New rubber mallet in wrapper.
-Electricians "snake" & 1200mm long drill bit & conduit. Made a difficult ride home!
-Half a bike tail light! the working half now jury rigged for my backpack.
-"L" and "P" plates, enough to cover a fridge.
-CD that still worked, and I liked the music more than the last owner.
and numerous other items that were not significant enough to remember.
I would love to hear what other items commuters are finding.

I felt a bit funny handing in a wallet without any cash though.

stuff I've actually kept though - just a few pliers and random tools. Nothing too exciting really.

As I have not found any treasure on my commute, my tally sits in the negative

+1. May help explain my never getting around to upgrading to a faster bike ...
I have to admit, that's where my brain went as well...

Sorry to disappoint you, I guarantee if I put up a thread about good looking rear ends belonging to other riders that I will make the subject line VERY clear!!

I thought that someone out there must have found something on the road really good that was worth mentioning. Keep your eyes peeled everyone, especially if you commute in the dark!
