airport run this afternoon so bus to work. grrr

Not riding tomorrow because I'm taking my year 1 and year 5 children to the first day of school for the year. Year 5er will still ride while I take his very heavy bag in the car - he has a new bike so is dying to ride to school as usual. I'm hoping I'll still get in my 2 commutes this week -it's forecast showers for some of the week so we shall see.

daughter sick, wife only been new job for a month so I'm doing the daddy thing (did go for a blat this morning though)

Last 5 weeks without any commuting. Or riding for that matter

Had some hardware removed from shoulder and my bicep tendon moved and it needs time to heal.

Slowly going insane from not riding to work.

Could time on a stationary trainer in upright position be a sanity saver ?

I had to drop my wife off this morning, so no commuting for me - I think that makes it twice this year that I have missed a day.

yesterday was sick daughter while the wife was at work. today is sick wife AND daughter.

I seem to be the only one on this thread lately
wife has to work today, so daddy daycare again

day off. i may log in to clear out the emails

i pack my bag, set out my winter gear and pack my work lunch last night.

i got geared up to ride to work this morning.

i opened the back door to head off to work.

i closed the door, got dressed for work and caught the train in cause it was cold.

Does this count? My office is over there somewhere. Smoke from fires burning in Indonesia is drifting across Singapore. The PSI reached 150 overnight, in the middle of the "Unhealthy" range. The bus is air-conditioned and the government says avoid strenuous exercise...

Finally getting over a chest infection with significant cough. Last week at home, mon, tues at home. Cough still lingering and has caused a significant injury to lower rib cage. Strong pain killers prescribed, imbibed and I'm not riding to work coz I'm off with the fairies for the first hour or so after taking the meds.

Sucks to see my year target drop behind this morning.

OK, it may have been borderline with a PSI of 150. Tonight it is 290. 300+ is considered hazardous. I'm sitting this one out.

both daughter and I home sick. not the nicest day by she's enjoying my little pony.

Still can't make it around the house without running out of puff, pneumonia sucks the breath out of you. One day I might get back to work, then I can start working on cycle commuting again.

maybe we should issue a decree for you - no cycling til the doctor says its ok. pneumonia can send you downhill fast.

BTDT re pneumonia. Life was sucky for way too long when even a short ride has you wheezing.
