Route suggestions: Baulkham Hills to Alexandria

I would like to aim to do this one day a week in the new year.

I would prefer a back streets way of getting there, to avoid heavy traffic (don't mind a few extra kays) - I suspect this wouldn't be a common bike or friendly commute. it's about 40odd Km's each way by car and just over $25 a day in tolls

Hoping for some clues, even for parts of the way. I plan to do some dry runs between Xmas and New Year.

Any assistance would be welcomed.

I commute from Seven Hills (not too far from Baulkham Hills) to Neutral Bay via the Sydney CBD so part of my route may be useful to you. I posted my route in another post here:
