What sort of punctures though? The sort any tyre could deal with or something that no tyre short of a solid rubber tube would of stop?

They were odd punctures, I wouldn't be able to say what caused them and they weren't explosive releases of air. I would be riding along and then, oh, my tyre is squishy, reasonably big hole each time, both on the back tyre; they are 28mm ones. I've had 25mm Durano's on my road bike for at least 1300km, just had my first puncture and that was of the sort that goes down after the ride.
