Because I have too much time on my hands, I just spreadsheet this. You'll jump me at the end of this month. My commuting year finishes on the first week in December, and should pull up at 6800 - 7000 or so Km - a few hundred less than last year.

Gretaboy: What's your average weekly these days?
Gretaboy - great work - you wooshed past me and have just kept going. Robinho (AT) 220kms per week I think you will be out of my reach I was aiming to catch you but not at those kms per week with your lead.

Ox hmmmm 7000km this year might just be possible 7th or 8th - I'll be happy with that. 7000kms would be a record year for me. This challenge has kept me riding in the rain and enjoying it. :D
Not fast, no style, but still get there.

We'll see, that's at me doing both directions 4 days a week, doesn't take much to get in the way of that ambition, but at least the weather is improving. I've ridden much more wet journeys this year though, it's really not that bad.

hope work gets out of the way soon Andre. Have to keep TW out of P1

and my time at the top lasted 1 ride. Andre has me by 20kms.. this week is going to be a bit light on for commuting kms
so he'll probably have me by 80kms or so by the end of the week.

You can say that because you have P2 in the bag.

Only one spot counts Jason :) everything else is forgetful

its good to see that the commuting challenge has two distinct groups...the big k commuters and the smaller k commuters, its two challenges happening within the one greater challenge...5th spot is going to have a good tussle happenimg over the nrxt couplr of months

TW...got to stop sucking on that home made moonshine and start cycling a bit more lol

with 3 weeks off in october and a week or so at xmas, i'll be about 1500kms short of what i could do. I'm 200kms in front of TW after 8 months so I'll say he'll get me by about 1200kms.

Weeks. Only a couple of weeks and spot 5 gets interesting. I might have a plan to ward off the inevitable a bit longer ☺

Then I will happily concede my position on the ladder for such a worthy cause. Make sure you report back on the charity ride - love to hear how it goes.

I am unfortunately bound by the commuting rulz and cannot include my charity rides, or three peaks training sessions, otherwise it would make it a bit more interesting. I should hit up Jason for a derogation perhaps.... only to keep you inspired to keep working harder of course! ;-)

I do feel guilty that my riding isnt commuting and gets included, but I am grateful to still be included as it keeps me motivated with my riding. As to needing to be inspired to keep working hard...any ride for me is hard now and hurts me afterwards so please dont make things harder for me lol

I was more than happy for your dispensation, given you were still with us at all, I'm probably less happy now that it looks like you will overtake me! ;)

Mate he has you as well - you may as well catch the train home and have a few weeks off - you know just for mental health

There is no more need to push seeing our resident sage has passed - just relax.

This has nothing to do with current positions as you know    hmmmmmmm do I have time for the extra long way home or not?

yeah I got it back last night. Andre obviously didn't commute yesterday (or today?)
It's going to be a light week of commuting for me as I'm doing the BNA Weekend wanderer ride this sunday so I need to save the legs

Now doesnt this bring an element of fun and desire to the boring old commute

The next week or two will see three of us battling over positions..due to rain and soreness I have given up on todays ride so both robinho and you ox can put some distance on me :D

I wont be able to upload the charity ride k's until late sunday or even monday morning, guess you will just have to wonder how close I am until I do lol

And thankyou to both of you for giving me a purpose to push through the bad stuff
