Did the end of commuting week upload and have cracked the 2k mark, and also nudged into 6th spot. A couple of work junkets coming up might check the progress somewhat. It's pretty tight around my position so anyone else uploading their commutes might knock me back a peg or two. Must start doing some extended commutes...

I've been travelling on business for the last 2 weeks. I'll be back on the pushy tomorrow, so your holiday is over :-)

Andre, you weren't kidding....

I'm about to be deposed in P2.

Look out Jason, Andre is steaming up behind....

Good stuff jasonc.

Is Endomondo being a worthless POS for anyone else still? For some reason a couple of weeks ago it's decided it will time me but not locate me about 50% of the time. Did someone break the satellite?? And yes I've turned it off and turned it back on again ... :P

I've been using Endomondo to do my tracking with no issues.

Works for me, although I have my gripes about it:
- Bought the Pro version, only to have them unify the Free and Pro versions recently (all free now)
- Endomondo consistently shows less distance traveled as opposed to other apps - approx 1/2km per 30km (ok not a big deal, but it hurts in the challenge  )
- Doesn't integrate with my Pebble watch - boo!

After less than a month on top, I'm about to drop to P3. Andre is back and I can hear TW breathing he's that close.

You're still in P1 - Andre appears to be about ~50km behind...as for me...yep, panting away, but not making much headway ..not doing much work along the scenic route.

I'm surprised that we're still only 50km apart after 4000km - seems like no one can make a break...

Looks like Mick is sneaking up from behind as well. I'm sure he is a bit closer to TW than usual...

I dunno about sneaking up, it is pretty lonely here in 4th. With an average morning temp of about 5 in Hobart, including a 2.4 last week I am struggling a bit for motivation. I cannot see you blokes in the distance 500Ks is a long way and the followers are almost 1500 behind. Maybe I should sit it out for a while and let the others catch up. Although I am nicely in the groove, averaging 1K / month will have me almost doubling my biggest year ever. Maybe I should plug on ahead in the faint hope that you freaks in the top 3 take pity on me and wait for a bit.

If your're doing 1k each month, then it's only 2 weeks riding and you're back in the mix...it only takes a business trip, someone getting a bit sick or something like that, to lose some time, so stick at it.

Brisbane is awesome for winter commutes, so I think Jason and I have a bit of an advantage there. I come from colder winters, so it's really nice to be able to ride through winter without too much extra layering, but most of my commute is in the dark so that's not so great.

+1

I grew up in Melbourne, but the winter mornings are colder here than in Melbourne - I get zero at my place.
