Ive Got A guy who is going to sell me a Merida TT Bike For 800 just want an opinion before i try and buy ?
The Bike Will Include
Bontrager SR Wheels
Vision TT Saddle
Sram Apex Groupset 10spd
Vision Trimax Pro Handlebars
does 800 seem to cheap ?
im going to meet him and have a look at the bike what should i look out for ?

If it seems too cheap then chances are its possibly stolen or may have some major flaw like a crack in the frame.
Sus him out for a history on the bike. "selling for a mate" or equivalent probably = stolen. Ask him for some tips on riding etc. Keep probing until you're happy he seems legit.
Then onto the bike. Test ride. Do all the normal inspections; gears, brakes, headset, hubs, BB. It should be clean, especially for sale. If he can't even be bothered cleaning it once for a sale then what sort of life has it had?
While riding, give it a hard standing start and flex the hell out of it. Be very wary of any creaks of cracking noises, clicking noises etc.
Inspect it thoroughly during daytime. Night time isn't the same unless you're in a bloody bright workshop.

I bought a 2011 Merida TimeWarp 4 recently for 750, bike was in great condition. I don't think base model TT bike hold value very well.
