mini clip on TT/Tri bars on a road bike

Postby bianchi928 » Wed Mar 23, 2016 5:16 pm

Hi,

I would appreciate if anyone could share their experience with the mini clip on TT/Tri bars on a road bike (handling, pro's/cons).
Also, comparison against the longer tri bars (the ones you rest your elbows on).
Cheers

Think Ive told the story before about Raimondas Rumsas ..my dad was the Polish team mechanic in the Commonwealth bank Classic, final Time Trial and Rumsas had won a couple of stages already and wanted another one. No TT bike, bars, wheels, as they travelled light. My dad spotted a girl riding around before the stage with some Spinaccis on her bike. Asked for a lend for Rumsas, gave her a jersey for the privilege, and Rumsas won the TT.

point being ...
1. Little cow horn clip on wally bars are fine, just not as comfy on the forearms if its a long TT.
2. Rumsas was a good rider
3. TT bikes are a bit of a wank
