In reality you will loose a little power, its virtually impossible to loose 15kg without loosing a little muscle along with the fat.

don't forget to include the bikes weight in the power to weight ratio.

15kg equates to about 2kph faster on the flat, but as you know it will equate to a huge improvement going up hills.

True but I think I still have quite a way to go in power improvement....my body keeps feeling stronger and stronger....legs look good!! (thou my thigh's look a lot leaner than in previous years)....upper body is a lot thinner than in 2000.Will be interesting to see...sustainable power is more important than weight in my region...well I think that is right...luckily for me I live in a pretty flat area,although the region with which my races are in is reasonably big and covers all the way to the Swiss border....so some clubs must have hilly races!.
