The foundations for successful riding

Hi Everyone! I know that this may be ultimatly boring for alot of you, but I'm going to record how my training goes over the course of this year on here I think this is a few reasons for that, the first and most important is to keep me motivated and accoutable! there is no escaping doing to work when I have made a deal with myself to post what I am doing on the internet! the other is so i can look back and really have a good look at how far I have come.. so without further beating around the bush... I WENT FOR A 20 MIN RIDE TODAY AND NOW IM HURTING!!!! Truly starting form scratch

Keep slowly building the time on the bike sophie, and you'll get there. We all start some where, its the ones that keep going that get anywhere.

Lol thankyou everyone, so my second day (saturday) consisted of alot of bike adjusting and fixing with lovely father, and a few short round the block rides to test out the bike...and lots of up and down the drive way i didnt end up going for a proper ride due to extreem bottom pain.... apparently a result of my bike set being WAY to high (couldnt even put my toes on the groud) and being titled in the wrong direction or something odd like that OOooo and I was given my frist pair of nicks as well, ones that didnt fit dad properly for the sea to summit ride, so I have now got them... comfortable....though perhaps not super stylish Anyway, I am going for a bigger ride tomorrow so I should probably head to bed i expect! night night to all Thankyou again

Ah yes, I remember that 'first ride' back in 2006 after twenty years off the bike. 40 minute ride, and I couldn't walk up the stairs when I got back to work because I had jelly legs. Jeez - that was about 23,000km ago!
I ride, therefore I am. ...real cyclists don't have squeaky chains...

nice work - pretty soon you can combine that into a ' ride to work'. Then you can experience the joy of passing cars in traffic jams while you smile and wave
