Only 200 watts to go and 10 beats per minute and I'll match him. Watch out Flecha, I'm coming for you :)

I'd like to see Tony Martin's / Cadel's numbers for the day

This bit just amazes me. My average HR on any ride regardless of duration tends to in the mid-to-high 160s. I have a recent 1:07:23 ride where average HR was 169 and max was 183. Is that all down to fitness where Fletcha can pump his max power at what I'm guessing is substantially lower than hix max HR?

At least I tend to average about 29-30. Although the units are slightly different :).

Cheers,
Simon.

His HR would likely have been depressed due to significant fatigue.

Power is what matters.

Ah, this makes perfect sense in hindsight. If I'd just done 3000km in three weeks I dare say I'd be pretty fatigued as well!
Power is what matters.
I've seen that message from you a number of times :). But while I've got nothing more than a Garmin, HR will do for me.

Cheers,
Simon.
