repeats? not on the way to work. maybe one day.
just look out for the nutbag on the flat bar passing most people. tomorrow is a possibility for me again....
EDIT: and sounding like a steamtrain.

not that quick but there aren't that many fast bunnies. in commuting guise fastest time line to line is 11:33 (which by strava is 11:15)Le Velo wrote:Lol, will keep an eye out next time for the flat bar and red backpack ..... passing most people ??? What time do you do going up?
but as I've done a harder gear this week, and still have to build strength, it been just over 12

Nice, still a good effort .... my PB is 9:47 ..... still chasing the sub 9 magic number ..... Lots of people out this morning ..... Only 1 fast one passed me but he was starting to pop at the channel ten tower and was tempted to chase but still has 2 more to gojasonc wrote:not that quick but there aren't that many fast bunnies. in commuting guise fastest time line to line is 11:33 (which by strava is 11:15)Le Velo wrote:Lol, will keep an eye out next time for the flat bar and red backpack ..... passing most people ??? What's with this?jasonc wrote:Le Velo wrote:fastest time line to line is 11:33 (which by strava is 11:15)
Looking at the strava segment it looks like it starts a bit late, but not 15 seconds late. Seems to finish in the right spot as well...
Had a go today and got 8:43 (8:30 in strava), aiming for sub 8.

3 days off the bike and it hurt like hell - still doing it in the harder gear (it's meant to be good for me). it my slowest time ever, but i made it

almost had a stack at the start of the decent on the first left hander - got into a lean and kept pedaling and the left pedal hit the ground.

damn, I'm surprised there are that many who've done it! A lot of the little rises have got to be at least 25%, probably more.Le Velo wrote:Strava segment of the people that have conquered the owl section .... lol. I'm 21st on that, the climb isn't all that hard it's just hard to keep weight on the back wheel otherwise you just spin and do a slow motion fall. No idea how that guy got 7 minutes though. That's impressive!Le Velo wrote:Strava segment of the people that have conquered the owl section .... because Herzo is a national level Elite road racer, a ridiculous amount of training will give you that time.Purt wrote:No idea how that guy got 7 minutes though. That's impressive!
