Power meter usage, every ride?

Has anyone investigated the power meters that work within pedals?

Polar - exustar pedal - not all that cheap, have to use their pedal and their computer (with its memory limitations - don't expect to be able to record more than a few hours of data), and installation is fiddly if you want good data.

Garmin (Metrigear) still don't have anything on the market despite promises over the past 4 years.

And with the amount of re-engineering needed for the metrigear (garmin vector) a good working model will probably end up being 2-3 revisions after the original release.

I keep waiting for the Brimm Brothers PM. Has the potentia in theory, but might not be accurate enough in practice - which would be a shame.

+1 on the power2max. I have one on my TT bike, train and race on it religiously. I also have a Powertap for my roady...you MUST track EVERY ride to manage fatigue and build to an event. Use a PMC and you'll be amazed with your results....

By the time that technically perfect and cost efficient PM arrives, it'll be just in time for my septuagenarian training plan.

Based on what I saw on the DC Rainmaker review you will be in your 100's before they hit the market
