retul bike fit

Postby nailsaslegs » Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:23 am

Anyone here had a Retul bike fit done in Melbourne? Pretty good price at $270 for what you get I think reading about it. I've had a Kennedy bike fit and well I wasn't overly impressed from what I gathered from speaking with another guy who had a bike fit done....he had the exact same thing told to him. We are completely different riders, he is a semi serious tri athlete, I race road.

Any opinions?

Thanks

Its an expensive ruler, the outcome still comes down to the individuals ability to read the data.I had one done and got bad tendonitis now just do my own set ups using Steve Hogs data. Waste of $$ in my case.

Bike fits where they measure up your body, put the measurements in some calculator and then set the bike up with those measurements are a waste of money.

Te best bike fit I've had done was by a physiotherapist, Lucas Owen, who also specialising in cycling related physiotherapy. He uses both his own approach and Retul to arrive at a bike position for you. Highly recommended.
