Do you need a Wahoo Kickr Replacement Belt?

Postby gerardvok » Wed Aug 09, 2017 6:59 pm

Hi all.

I'm looking for a few peeps to split the shipping cost on replacement Wahoo Kickr Trainer replacement belts. I have found a source for genuine Gates PowerGrip belts that should be used as replacement to the originals. For some reason they cost an arm and a leg here in Australia. Wahoo retails them for $110, bike shops sell them for $80, Bearing and industrial suppliers for $60 where as most places in the U.S. sell them for $15-$25. Shipping is the main issue ($51.00 USD) so if there are a few people looking to replace their worn out belts (or want a spare for the enevitable repair) then maybe we can go in on a few of the belts and split the shipping cost? (I'm in Sydney).

Please reply in this thread if interested. Thanks.
Gerard.

Gates Power Transmission (belts) products are available from Statewide bearings and CBC bearing - in all States i think?

Do you have the description/code? It should be printed on the belt.

thanks for the info. They quoted me $70 for a $16.50USD belt. I get a years worth out of them so buying a few is a realistic prospect. :wink:

Surely any belt/bearing dealer should be able to supply the below Gates Belt;

Timing Belt, Gates HTD, 15mm wide, 170T, 850-5M-15 (am-2570)

The issue isn't availability. The issue is the price. I'm still wondering why a belt costs $55 more here than overseas. Anyone who wants to purchase with me will potentially save a lot of money on them particularly if the combined order is for a few of them.
