Where bought and price
PBK, discount and free shipping came out to about $43.50 a pair, a DEAL.
How it is used
On the track for training and racing. Wooden, so the tyres will never wear out, not including the half yearly-yearly light sanding to expose new rubber.
Description
Handmade in Italy supposedly. Paper thin; I was incredibly baffled at how thin they were, looked like a belt! The claimed weight is around 135 grams each, I don't have a scale so I can't back up the claim.
Positives
+BUTTERY SMOOOOOOOOOOOTH. These tyres roll like silk wrapped lard on a frictionless glass table!
Negatives
-Not much a negative but a bit hard to get on the rim as they aren't 'shaped' like most tyres.
-I can't believe kids use these tyres on the road, coughing on them will make them split!
Additional notes
I haven't been able to see if they increase my speeds. Though after 5 days off the bike due to tests/assignments etc I went to the track and my max speed was 61.6 km/h, 0.1 km/h faster than when I was fit the week before.
Reccomendation
Buy if you like buttery goodness on the track.
