Stomach Muscle Pull

Yes, I've got a slight pull in one of my abdominal muscles. Did it lifting shopping, 2-3 weeks ago actually. It's down in front of the hip, kind of where I imagine my appendix would be (there's NO WAY it's appendicitis).

I don't think cycling is actually making it worse, but I feel a slight twinge when I go hard seated. Out of the saddle is fine. I really feel it off the bike - lifting stuff and so on. Kids, shopping, furniture, etc.

The question I guess is, if I don't stop cycling, will it get better? What else can I do to speed up recovery?

Hi Rogan.

If it does not get better soon you are advised to see a GP
from the description of its location, it could possibly be an inguinal hernia.
GP will be able to investigate this poossibility further
Don't panic, but do follow a plan to investigate further, dont be afraid to see GP
If it is a hernia, no big drama, it should not prevent you from riding bicycle, but it might be a good idea to dodge the shopping

depends on how much cycling you do. If you're training hard it won't help you recover from the muscle strain, taking a few days off might be a good idea.
