Re: ACF Losers Club 2011Awesome effort everyone, and here's to a great health new year to everyone.
My journey started last year about the same time as novice.. Was 127kg got down to 113kg... But then I slid back into oblivion and stopped riding and all the bad habits drifted back. By June I was back to 128... Anyway gave myself a good kick in the pants.. Jumped back on this thread and was inspired by everyone's amazing results while I had just slobber the last 6 months away.. July i got back on my diet, and bike and boy it was hard. This time I kept it up, eating well and exercising.. I am now sitting on 94kg.. Feel better than I have in years, and in part it is because of most of you guys.. So a big thank you, and a big congratulations to everyone..

I've been fluctuating through a range for a while now that is well within my target weight band. I'm not going to depreciate the super good work that's been going on in here by so many so won't be participating in next years thread. I thank you all for your support and promise that if I drift outside my range I'll fess up. Once you can climb hills on a bike it's all downhill.

Re: ACF Losers Club 2011Ahh, so you will be the graduating class of 2011.
Congrats Comedian and don't take this personally when I say we hope we don't see you in this thread again. The trouble with jogging is that the ice falls out of your glass
Re: ACF Losers Club 2011I did post in this at the start of the year. I think if there is a new one this year I will use it for some motivation.

Re: ACF Losers Club 2011Date Weight (kg)
1-Jan-10 144.3 1-Jul-10 135.5 3-Jan-11 123.7 4-Apr-11 110.9 4-Jul-11 99.9 3-Oct-11 95.3 2-Jan-12 90.9 Started riding at the beginning of Feb 11, which pretty much allowed me to lose in six months pretty easily what it had taken me a year to do by gym/walking/jogging(not that much of the latter). These days I am wearing 34" jeans, rather than 52". People at work now tell me to "don't lose anymore weight", running around the 16.5-17% body fat, but BMI is still 27.1, so to be honest unless I really start hitting up massive rides and cut the booze back out that I reintroduced in a controled manner that ain't going to happen, as I am pretty happy with my balance of life these days. Resting Heart rate is in the low 50s, my "bad" cholestrol is half what it used to be, and the "good cholestrol" has doubled, my doctor is chuffed, without a doubt I am in the best condition I have ever been in, shame it has taken this long to work it all out. Long term goal is to try to get around the 15% body fat, Had some shoulder issues over the last three months, think I finally have that on the mend, thanks to a particularly good Pilates trainer, which as a side benefit is helping with my flexibility, core and also leg strength. Three months ago I was feeling pain even after my 35 min commute (17kms), I am back to riding 50kms with it really only getting a bit angry in the last five or so - not bad for six sessions so far. So I will not be posting in the next years thread, and I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who has given support over the last year. ![]()
