Numb fingers

Postby toofargone » Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:31 am

Hi all,

I've started riding in to work ~1 hour each way, and i've noticed my little finger on my left hand goes numb during the ride then gets pins and needles for most of the day etc....

I am a fair bit overweight so I tend to support most of my weight on my hands I guess. Are there any gloves I can get with padding of some sort which may help me with this problem?? I might also look at replacing the grips on my handlebars (straight) as well since they are fairly old.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Thanks.

Hi toofar.....have you looked at your bike set up? If your weight is not balanced, and you have too much weight on your arms, it may be the cause of your 'pins & needles'. I had a similar problem with a bike that was too small for me.
