Went backwards a little in April after the stack and was 106-107 most times I'd weigh in. Too much bad food and not enough riding.BrisVegas wrote:Weighed in yesterday morning, after the Ipswich 100 on Sunday and was down to 105kgs. Started the year on 112-115kgs depending on the scales. I feel like I'm losing the weight, but am getting much stronger in my legs which is nice.
Lost a bit more weight this morning when I came a cropper on the river loop and took some bark off my elbow and hip.... Hit a bump and my right hand got knocked off the hoods. After that it was a swerve, death wobble and then a high side. Landed on my head and smashed my helmet to bits. Better than my head I suppose....
The past couple of weeks I've gotten back on the wagon and have seen 103-104kgs this week. I'm feeling stronger and trimmer. Down to my last notch on the belt and my size 38 pants are loose now! Did a 29.3km/h avg on the river loop this morning without drafting, which I'm happy with.
I'd love to get to 96kgs by my 10 year wedding anniversary in September. That was what I weighed when I got married and I was fairly happy at that weight.
Longer term, the goal is still 89kgs and a healthy BMI for my 188cms...

1/1/12 = 44 - 31 - 44
26/5/12 = 43 - 29 - 43
Goal = 27 inch waist, whatever that means for the rest of me
Have pretty much given up the booze (maybe a glass or two of wine a month), need to work on giving up cake. Mmmmmmm, cake...

Yet after all that I weigh in this morning and this is what I saw 93.8kg. this is the lightest I’ve been in over 12 years
May 6 - 93.8kg
May 26 - 92.5kg
Lose another 800 grams and I’ll be moving from “Obese” to “Overweight” BMI

Goal is a healthy 100kg last body scan I had put my lean mass at 84.4 kg so aim to move that up closer to 90 and get fat down.
Think I will be happy to sit around that mark as am considering playing rugby again so will never be a lightweight.

Nice work.
I find that my weight fluctuates. I hit a new low then the weight goes up only to come back down even lower..... then back up but not as high as before. It’s a trend that I’m happy with.
A nice steady weight loss that to my way of thinking means that I’m not doing anything extreme and unsustainable.
Speaking of which
This morning 92.2kg (Highest weight 107(ish) kg and 101.7kg when I started riding) which means that when I lose more 500 grams I move from being “Obese” to “Overweight” according to the BMI charts that is. My legs are letting me down because there is no denying that they’ve put on mass (I’m awesome)

+1 to that. That’s awesome work. Care to share what your typical week is like?
My own scales this morning and yesterday 91.4kg which is BMI 29.8 which means I’m no longer obese but rather I’m overweight. First time in a decade

Check In 27/6/2010 - 125.2 kgs
Check in 27/12/2011 - 109.7 kgs
Goals
Weight - 90kg
Kms - 8000
2012 to date.
10/03/2012 - 106.0 kg
1/04/2012 - 103.3 kg, 708.34km (YTD 1,937.42 of 8,000)
02/05/2012 - 102.5, 827.24km (YTD 2774.25 of 8,000)
05/06/2012 - 99.6kg, 448km (YTD 3222.25 of 8,000kms)
Not that unhappy since I had two weeks of the bike and basically consumed a large variety of members of the animal kingdom in China and Taiwan.
Happy to be in double digits - just!! Can't remember the last time, maybe in high school.
