What Kate said...The last thing I ever thought I'd be doing is quoting something a supermodel said.
But I did find this quote by Kate Moss quite insightful... "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Nice and succinct. There are only two types of cyclist.
Those that have crashed and those that are about to.
Re: What Kate said...yeah great role model for young girls struggling with body image/eating disorders.
Re: What Kate said...There's skinny and there's skinny and that is the problem!
Foo I don't suffer fools easily and so long as you have done your best, you should have no regrets.

Re: What Kate said...
To make it a little more PC, we could paraphrase - "Nothing tastes as good as lean feels". Hmmm, doesn't really roll of the tongue though. Unicyclist's don't need a training wheel
Re: What Kate said...
Maybe, but I can relate to the quote. Perhaps because I'm not a young girl struggling with body image. I was however a fat bastard struggling with health issues. There are only two types of cyclist.
Those that have crashed and those that are about to.
What Kate said...
Obviously never had bacon
Re: What Kate said...
I would suggest you look for your inspiration from sources other than vacuous anorexic people who have only the lottery of their genes to thank for their good looks and health. The gossip tabloid utterances of a cigarette smoking, coke snorting fashion model who is only known because she looks good in a frock is not the place to look for health advice or motivation.
Re: What Kate said...I think you guys are being unduly harsh on the OP.
Sure, she's not a rocket scientist and is definitely no role model, which is a very common outcome with those who have good looks: they don't have to be nice for people to fawn all over them, unlike the rest of us who generally have to do something exceptional or worthy to get notoriety or attention. Nevertheless, the quote has merit in and of itself and given we are in one of the two fattest countries in the world through eating habits in no small part, I reckon it would do us good to have it socialised a bit more. I have to say that, for myself, being under 76kg feels awesome especially when climbing on a bike. "People have a right to their own opinions, but not their own facts. Evidence must be located, not created, and opinions not backed by evidence cannot be given much weight." -- James W Loewen

Re: What Kate said...True. Striving to be healthy and achieving those goals should be applauded and encouraged just as unhealthy practices and lifestyles should be discouraged . Obesity is a major issue today. Promoting anorexia is is not the way to handle it.
Re: What Kate said...
This! [/thread] ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

That's what a fool does. I'm invincible, I'm paying money ... uh ... The girl's happy, she's got no money, I got my rocks off. How good is this?
Re: What Kate said...
Boom. There ya go. Too easy
Re: What Kate said...
Nope! Still prefer Kate's version. I may not be skinny yet but I can relate completely to her comment because feeling like I do now IS better than anything I ate. And, I agree with Trailgumby, 31kg lighter makes a massive difference on hills. There are only two types of cyclist.
Those that have crashed and those that are about to.
Re: What Kate said...
I'd say Kate Moss is right, every single kg you loose feel's awesome and that weird sesnsation of being able to feel your ribs (not in an anorexic way... cause I'm not), but I can feel my bone structure for the first time in years and it makes me feel great. And I L O V E Kate Moss!
What Kate said...Every kilo of fat you lose feels great
Hot rock chicks
Re: What Kate said...The reason why models are so thin is because they were intended to be coat hangers, so that you could see how a piece flowed when a person moved, the can see the cut and the art behind it. I love Paris fashion, the fashion is amazing, teach your daughters the real reason for a model, it's not up to the fashion industry to be good role models, it's up to normal people.
Coke heads, alcoholics and anorexics aren't role models; be a good parent and explain the issues.
Re: What Kate said...
That photo is astonishing. If I was selling clothes, I'm not sure that's a great advertisement. If I'm casting for a holocaust documentary, I'll keep her in mind. That's what a fool does. I'm invincible, I'm paying money ... uh ... The girl's happy, she's got no money, I got my rocks off. How good is this?
Re: What Kate said...

Re: What Kate said...
