I would have jumped the counter & given the lovely lady a hug, if it wasn't for the security barrier

Lol, pissing myself laughing reading this, Thanks all, it means a lot really.
For comparison to where I'm at now, back in ~1996 - 2004 I went from a 72kg teen to a 96kg+ (~210lbs) gym junkie & money hungry workaholic.
Funny how things change, although I've always been able to move my weight up and down round and round with ease, it does come down to just simple mathematics, timing and macro nutrient breakdown, carbs to move, protein to recover and only to recover, and fats for hormone balance etc, more or less without making things too complicated.
Just need to be motivated & committed and on top of things 24/7, If I'm not and I drop the ball to many times in a week.... things stall.
Weather putting on or loosing weight, every time I open my mouth to eat or drink I need to know what it is I'm putting in there and why, if I don't have a reason then I've dropped the ball.
Boring I know but it get's results fast, then you just need to maintain where your at,
either end of the scale is hard, I know from experience. Really big and lean takes commitment, being ultra light and very fit is just as much work, middle ground is sweet but from a competitive side it's not that great.
Trainings is never a worry though luv to train and compete luv it! Just love pushing myself.
Just keep it up, remember it's for life, not for a week or month

My meager contribution is.... dropped 4kg and lost 5cm off the waist and some off the chest. If I cant be 100kg by Christmas I will be a happy camper.
I'm dropping it slowly so my body thinks it is normal and therefore it won't go on quickly, if I have a slack attack.

Goal 6000km

10 stone is 63 kilograms. So wasnt far off my guess as to when I was last about 68 kilograms. And no I wasnt a fat kid. I was tall. Taller than my teachers and parents at 10.

Tracking well toward my target of 90kg by Nov 1, dropping about a kg per week for the last few weeks. All I've done is basically trim up the excessess in my diet and cut out uneeded goodies - like birthday cake in work canteen every 2nd day, or eating 1/2 a tub of jam when the mood strikes. Exercising the same (riding 3+ hrs a day), guessing my daily Calorie consumption is probably 4000 a day, with out goings remaining at 5000 give or take. Pretty easy going at the moment, but will see once I drop a few more which is where it usually gets hard around 97kg. Not sure 90 is possible, but will see

The thought of you getting to 65kg is a scary one - you'd have some crazy watts per kilogram! You'll be a real monster on the bike at that weight.anttismo wrote:Nice one aussiebullet. More motivation to keep losing weight - If I can get down to 65 kg I'll be killing it
I've put on a few kilos, some of it might be some of the efforts to get my legs a bit stronger and the rest is having some 250-300km weeks instead of 500+km.

You are relentless good work, would you say you are loosing some muscle at this stage?

Hadn't really thought about it, but wouldn't think so. Last 3 years I've tended to be about this weight 97-98 kg in summer, when training, etc, but usually go up a bit in winter. Never pushed too hard to be lighter, so will see what happens. I'm happy at 100kg, but just interested to see how 90 feels. at 100kg most common comment I get is "you are already to thin" and I'm 6'4" and pretty strong, lift weights bit, so not as thought I'm obviously over weight (even if BMI = 27). Ready to play centre half forward more than ride the pelotonAussiebullet wrote:...

Anyway, keep plugging away through winter, also just keep the miles up without any specific training or testing (e.g. FTP or similar) until spring. Be interesting to see if I can get same numbers if 10kg lighter

Slightly back the other way this week, but not particulalry suprised. It was mostly a week on holiday, up in QLD hanging with my mum and an aunt, eating massive piles of traditional home cooked meals - very nice And handful of gentle trundles about on the brissy citycycle bikes, not the usual 600-700 km weeks I've been solidly doing lately. But anyway, will keep plugging along

Currently 100 kilos.
That's doable.
Will update thread as I go.

8/4/2014 115.3kg
19/6/2014 116.4kg
Fallen off the wagon over Mothers Day weekend and have also hooked into a weights program that is more dynamic rather than just pumping big numbers and it's showing a bit on the scales. I've not been as good with food as I have been as I've been a bit lazy in that respect, choosing to just bundle in and grab what's on offer rather than choose wisely, even if it means cooking for myself. However, I'm getting faster and stronger, setting PRs all over the place on strava, so the waistline rather than the scales will be more relevant until I can pull my finger out and watch the food intake much better.
